This is Porasto’s accessibility statement for the public website service at www.porasto.fi.

The service is governed by the Act on the Provision of Digital Services, which requires online services provided by public institutions to be accessible.

Based on the European Union Accessibility Directive, the Act on the Provision of Digital Services (306/2019), or the Digital Services Act, entered into force in Finland on 1 April 2019. In addition, the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, which emphasises the inclusion of people with disabilities and the possibility of independent transactions also in the digital environment, is taken into account. Accessibility is a key principle of the Convention.

We are committed to improving the accessibility of online services. We will ensure accessibility through the following measures, among others:

• Taking accessibility requirements into account when developing services.
• Focusing on language comprehensibility.

State of digital accessibility:

Porasto.fi largely meets the accessibility requirements of WCAG 2.1 levels A and AA and there are no critical accessibility gaps.

The accessibility of different parts of the service has been assessed in cooperation with an external accessibility expert.

This report is based on user testing, self-assessment and a review by a testing tool.

If you are not satisfied with the response you receive or if you do not receive a response within two weeks, you can report it to the Regional Administrative Board of Southern Finland.
